FACILITIES
Sports Hall
Located at the bottom of the campus, as part of the sport centre it is the College’s main on-site sporting facility. The sports hall size is equivalent to 4 badminton courts and can support the following sports:
- Badminton
- Basketball
- Indoor Cricket Nets
- 5-a-side Football
- Netball
- Trampoline
- Volleyball
Nobles Field
The home of outdoor sports at the College, Nobles Field is used year round to provide one of the finest playing surfaces for sport in the area. Nobles Field, which is used by staff and students, has:
- 3 full-size grass football pitches
- 2 full-size grass rugby pitches (used also for lacrosse)
- Portable floodlights
- Cricket square (6 wickets)
- 2 practice cricket nets
- 2 practice golf nets
East Fields
The College’s dedicated football area is set in a wonderful spot just behind the campus’ small woodland. The two floodlit pitches are used every evening by student and alumni football clubs.
Founder’s Courts
Overlooking the stunning, unique Founder’s Building, the Founder’s Courts are one of the most scenic spots to play sport. It has four tennis courts, and is also used for netball and basketball. Further, next to the courts there is a grassed area suitable for recreational sport.
Kingwood Campus
Kingswood is located approximately one and a half miles from the main campus. The campus has:
- 2 squash courts
- 2 tennis courts
External Facility Providers
To ensure there are no restrictions to sports teams at the College, RHULSPORT has developed a number of partnerships and links to other sports facilities. All are within two miles of the main campus, are reachable on public transport and allow our many sports teams to thrive and play at the highest standard. External sites include:
- Floodlit artificial hockey pitch (Staines)
- 2 grass rugby pitches (Englefield Green)
- Boathouse on River Thames (Staines)
- Grass football pitches (Egham)
